From Production Line to Biochemistry Lab
Mercedes’s path wasn’t paved with textbooks from the start. She learned the value of hard work firsthand on the production line, handling demanding tasks like spreading, pitchforking, and baling mint. Driven by a desire for a better future, Mercedes pursued higher education. Today, she’s studying Biochemistry with a minor in Criminology, a challenging double major. Her immediate goal is to secure a position in her field while simultaneously applying to pharmacy school. Her ultimate ambition? To become a pharmacist, a profession that will allow her to give back to the community that nurtured her.
