Sergio’s story is one of perseverance and resilience. His journey took him across the country, from harvesting coffee beans in Hawaii to fishing in Alaska, all in search of a brighter future. Along the way, he faced countless obstacles, but Sergio remained determined to pursue his goal: earning a degree in Automotive Technology.

Through the National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP), he received vital assistance, including resume writing, financial aid, and career preparation. These tools empowered him to stay focused on his education, despite the many challenges that come with being a farmworker. After years of hard work and dedication, Sergio proudly graduated in May 2023 with a degree in Automotive Technology, opening up a world of new opportunities.
