Collaboration and partnership allows agencies to focus on providing services that fall most clearly within their own areas of expertise, avoiding duplicity, and raising awareness of issues outside of their areas of expertise.  Proteus uses collaboration and partnership to access to a wider range of available services for clients. 

As one of the few area agencies with a bilingual staff, Proteus plays a vital role in the network of Latino services in the area.  Through sustained contact and collaboration with other agencies, Proteus has ensured that other agencies can come to us with thier clients’ needs.  In turn, Proteus Case Managers make a great effort to ensure that other resources are available to their clients and that clients are connected with resources that other agencies provide. 

Through these collaborative efforts and partnerships, all clients are better able to access a wider network of services that address a variety of needs. thereby tackling not just the immediate need for help but increasing the chances of the ultimate goal in providing services—self-sufficiency for all families.
