Proteus Operates the Following Programs:


National Farmworkers Job Program (NFJP):
Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. This program provides employment, training, and educational activities and services to migrant and seasonal farmworkers in Iowa.

Migrant Health Project:
Funding provided by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The project provides comprehensive health services to migrant and seasonal farmworkers in Iowa.

Des Moines Homeless Prevention Project:
Funding provided by U.S. Department fo Housing and Urban Development and passed through to the City of Des Moines. The program provides emergency shelter activities, services and supplies to homeless individuals.

FEMA:
Funding provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and passed through to Proteus by the local board. The program provides emergency rental assistance.

I-4 Immunization Project:
Funding provided by the Iowa Department of Public Health. The projects goal is to educate migrants on the importance of immunizations and to review innumization records.
